Being a parent is one of the most rewarding things in life, but it’s not always easy, especially when you're trying to step away from the traditional parenting methods. You don't want to spank, punish, shame, threaten, lie and your parenting goals are bigger than just having educated, obedient children. There are days when you might feel overwhelmed by tantrums, tired of repeating yourself, or unsure if you’re doing it right, you may sometimes question if you're being too lenient or being too strict.
That’s why we're here. Our goal is to help you find balance in your approach, simplify parenting, support your children's holistic development, connect with your kids, and handle challenges with confidence and ease.

Our Founding Story
Parenting and More was founded by Kudirat Fuster, a mom to two wonderful little kids and a stepmom to three amazing young adults.
As a parent just like you, Kudirat relates with the everyday challenges of raising children, especially when trying to break away from traditional parenting styles to raise thriving, well-rounded children.
Despite marrying a European, Kudirat started her parenting journey following traditional methods because it was what she knew and saw around her. She was raised in a typical Yoruba home from Nigeria where parenting ideologies were rooted in traditional parenting methods, with a narrowed parenting goal of having an educated obedient child. While her own parents rarely spanked or punished her, these ideologies still shaped her mindset and led to struggles with self-esteem and people-pleasing. Over time, she noticed similar patterns and even worse in other adults raised with the same approach. Then, she determined to parent differently and better, she began searching for a new way.
Her journey led her to the concept of gentle parenting, which initially seemed promising. But applying it left her feeling stuck. While it encouraged kindness and connection, she began to struggle to implement it, she found herself begging her children to listen, overlooking bad behavior to keep the peace, and eventually defaulting to yelling, threatening or spanking when situations got out of control. This cycle left her frustrated and exhausted and unsure what to do.
Knowing there had to be a better way, Kudirat committed herself to learning and growing as a parent. She immersed herself in research, invested in expert insights, and gradually discovered tools and strategies that truly worked. However, even with all her new knowledge, it was still hard to stay consistent or to remember what to do during tough parenting moments. So, from these knowledge and continuous learning, she developed simple, practical strategies that became second nature, making parenting easier and more effective.
The results of these were life-changing. Her children became more cooperative, confident, and thriving, and her home became a place of peace and growth. Today, she no longer needs to yell, threaten, spank, or punish. Instead, she focuses on nurturing her children’s holistic development and building a deeply connected relationship with them.
The transformation in her family was so evident that other parents began seeking her advice. Seeing how her methods helped other parents achieve similar success inspired Kudirat to create Parenting and More; a to guide parents like you in creating thriving, harmonious homes without resorting to outdated parenting tactics.

Hi, I’m Kudirat Fuster. I am a Parenting Strategist, Kids’ Reading Specialist, Administrator, Product Manager. Most importantly, I am a mom to two wonderful little kids and a stepmom to three amazing young adults.
Helping children and families isn’t just my work; it’s my passion and life’s purpose. As the founder and lead strategist at Parenting and More, my mission is to empower parents with simple, practical tools to make parenting easier, more rewarding, and filled with stronger connections between you and your children.
My mission is simple: to help parents raise confident, emotionally healthy, and well-rounded children while strengthening the bond within their families and excelling in your personal life.
I can relate to how overwhelming parenting can feel, from struggling to get kids to listen, to managing tantrums and big emotions, and balancing the fine line between nurturing and setting boundaries. I also know how transformational it can be when you have the right strategies in place. That’s why I created Parenting and More to provide clear, science-backed strategies in a simplified, actionable way that help you raise well-rounded, emotionally healthy kids without resorting to harsh tactics.
My approach and strategies are rooted in research and science and refined through personal experience to deliver practical solutions that fit right into your busy life.
